Hours set for vets assistance
LYNDORA — State Rep. Brian Ellis, R-11th, will begin hosting veterans assistance hours every month at his district office in Lyndora.
Mark Thompson, department service officer with the American Legion, will visit Ellis’ office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and will continue at that time on the second Friday of each month.
Ellis’ district office is at 6 Chesapeake St., Suite 200.
Appointments can be made by calling his office at 724-283-5852.
“Veterans in the 11th District are encouraged to take advantage of this new monthly outreach,” Ellis said in a news release.
Some of the services that can be provided to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education, health care and veterans benefits.
Veterans do not need to be a member of any service organization to participate.
