The Butler Transit Authority will install new video cameras on each of its six buses.

The authority board Tuesday night voted to go ahead with the about $30,000 project.

Executive director John Paul said the cameras will automatically send video to the authority's computers in its office.

Its current cameras require a tape to be manually removed, Paul said.

The new cameras are expected to be installed within two months.
