William F. Pfister, 86, died peacefully on Dec. 21, 2006, attended by his daughter, Sharon, and his daughter-in-law, Anita, following a long battle with cardio pulmonary disease.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanne Hofmann Pfister, in November 2004 and his only son, Mark Pfister, 54, in November 2006.

William Pfister and his family lived in the North Pittsburgh and the Butler County area of Pennsylvania until 1980, where he was a builder and contractor. They retired to Englewood, Fla., for 15 years and moved to Gainesville, Ga., in 1993.

He is succeeded by his daughter, Sharon Bencini and his granddaughters, Elena and Lauren, and by his daughter-in-law, Anita Michaud Pfister, and grandsons, Jason and Cody, all residing in Gainesville, Ga.

William received the Last Rites and blessings of his church and at his request will be cremated. There will be a private family memorial. His family wishes to thank everyone who has been kind and supportive during his long illness.
