ADAMS TWP — A township woman faces multiple drug charges after an incident last year.

Police say Dina M. Dowling, 45, was found unconscious on North Adams Point Boulevard on the afternoon of Sept. 16 after ingesting a substance.

Dowling was transported via ambulance. Quality EMS responders told police she had taken heroin and had fresh puncture wounds on her hands.

Police later obtained a warrant to search Dowling’s residence.

They found multiple items of drug paraphernalia in the master bathroom, including 31 empty stamp bags, five wads of Chore Boy, Chore Boy fragments and other items.

Chore Boy is a scouring pad made from steel or copper wool that can be used as a makeshift component in crack cocaine pipes.

Multiple syringes, a glass pipe with marijuana residue inside, a cutting agent for crack cocaine, heroin residue and other prep items also were discovered.

Dowling waived her charges Tuesday, including two misdemeanor charges of drug possession and one charge of drug use.

She will be arraigned in county court on March 14.

Assistant Chief Robert Scanlon of the Adams Township police, said the reason for the amount of time between the drugs being found and Dowling’s hearing is because Dowling was receiving treatment.
