Firefighters free woman after pickup flips on side
BRADYS BEND TWP, Armstrong County — Firefighters Tuesday afternoon freed a woman after her pickup overturned on Kaylor Road.
“There was entrapment because of the way the vehicle was laying,” said Chief Charles Barnes of the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department.
Barnes said passers-by helped the woman's two children get out, but she could not free herself from the truck, which was laying on its passenger side after the accident, which occurred about 2:40 p.m.
He said crews stabilized the pickup, so the woman, whose name was unavailable, could be helped out.
Barnes said the woman and her children were taken to ACMH Hospital near Kittanning to be checked out.
