Ida 'Edith' Doria

Ida "Edith" Doria, 97, formerly of West Penn Street, died at 4:25 p.m. Thursday at Saxony Health Center, Saxonburg.

Born in Italy, Jan. 8, 1910, she the daughter of Pasquale and Louise Vignale DeCesare.

She was a homemaker, and with her husband owned and operated Doria's Market on Mercer Street for 22 years.

Mrs. Doria was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and the Ladies Guild of the church.

Surviving are a close friend, Helen Jurysta and her son, Cameron, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl A. Doria, who died April 2, 2001; a son, Charles Vito Doria, who died Nov. 7, 1967; two brothers; and two sisters.

<B>DORIA </B>— Friends of Ida "Edith" Doria, who died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Center Avenue, with the Rev. James Dolan officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael Parish will hold a scriptural wake service at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
