More than 200 customers in Butler County were without power this morning after trees and limbs knocked down by overnight storms affected service around the county.

According to Central Electric Cooperative’s website, outages were affecting customers in five municipalities. As of 7:44 a.m. power was out to 80 customers in Brady Township; 10 in Franklin Township; 21 in Muddy Creek Township; 14 in West Liberty Borough; and 129 in Worth Township.

The company was still assessing the damage as of 8:15 a.m., and did not have an estimate on when service would be restored.

According to West Penn Power’s website, fewer than five customers in Connoquenessing Township were without power this morning. The company said service should be restored by 9:30 a.m. today.
