ADAMS TWP — Police say a township man repeatedly assaulted his girlfriend and caused her to fall down some stairs.

Jeffrey D. Madaffari, 58, faces numerous charges stemming from an incident at the couple’s West Village Green Boulevard home early on Jan. 7.

Police met the alleged victim, Colleen Jakubovic, in the home’s driveway. She told police she was assaulted by Madaffari.

She said she arrived home, and, while she was getting ready in the home’s master bedroom, Madaffari opened the door, hitting her with it, according to documents.

He then pushed Jakubovic to the ground, police reports state. As Jakubovic tried to leave, Madaffari pushed her to the ground again. She injured her head when she was pushed to the ground a third time, according to documents.

In trying not to fall down the stairs, Jakubovic grabbed onto Madaffari’s shirt. He allegedly became angry after the shirt ripped and he began kicking Jakubovic, causing her to fall down the stairs.

Jakubovic made her way to the home’s garage and got into her vehicle. Madaffari then came toward her with a metal pole, “in a way that made her feel threatened,” documents said.

Jakubovic said she used her cell phone to call police while Madaffari went back inside the residence.

He was arrested on Jan. 7 and faces charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment. He was able to post his $10,000 bail on Jan. 8.

He waived his charges Tuesday to county court, where he will be arraigned on April 11.
