The Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau is sponsoring a “Name the Boat” contest in which the winner will receive a private tour of Lake Arthur at Moraine State Park for up to 30 people.

The Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau is asking community members to help name the new educational tour boat purchased by the Moraine Preservation Fund last year for tours, educational programs and other uses on Lake Arthur at Moraine State Park.

The bureau is sponsoring the “Name the Boat” contest, which will name the craft for the next five years.

The winner of the contest will receive a private cruise on the newly named boat for up to 30 people in 2021.

Those who want to submit a name can fill out a brief questionnaire at visitbutlercounty.com. Entrants must be at least 18 years old.

Judging will be done by the tourism bureau’s staff. The winner will be announced in March.

The new boat replaces the Nautical Nature, which operated tours on Lake Arthur for more than 25 years.

The new boat doubles the Nautical Nature’s capacity with an upper deck.

Uses for the boat include birdwatching, photography and enjoying the view and nature at Moraine State Park.
