Whoa there! Poor Kim. I don't believe she was talking about these "special" circumstances you were refering to. She's talking about the parents that take these kids, because thier kids are on drugs, or lazy or don't want bothered by the childern they gave birth to. Yes, these kids are neglected, so the grandparents have to step in. understandable. But I would have to say that in the 3 cases I know about that have this going on; the parents were too preoccupied themselves,to raise thier kids, that thier own childern went out and explored on thier own. The result? Drug-addicted, unwed pregnancies, parents in jail or worse, and grandparents raising grandbabies. Guess what? This cycle will happen over and over and over until we get parents off thier butts and start to care, or at least act like it.
