Actually Joe, They were all slave owners, Washington included,he actually owned slaves at the age of 11 so that makes them all hypocrites in my book.What could a slave owner teach any of us about religion or right and wrong? They didn't even know themselves. Your quote from Washington that he stated" Being no bigot myself" Couldn't ring truer of all the double standards that this country was founded on and unfortunately is still true today. The only decent man among them was Lincoln and they shot him for it. No disrespect intended to our fore fathers but enough is enough. They weren't as great or wise as history makes them out to be.Like I said this nation was founded on and by persons who lived according to two sets of rules then and now. John
