In response to this letter, I can't even believe what I'm reading. I have to admit that I didn't see Tracy's letter but to make it seem as if parents shouldn't be responsible for childrens bad behaviors.... how ridiculous is that statement? Seriously folks, I think parents need to take far more responsibility for their kids and how they act. That is your job as a parent, not as a childcare worker. These so called dramatic workers are subjected to horrible antic's of bad parenting every day of the week. Children are a product of their parents and model their behavior. It's clear to me that it's more fault of people like you who believe that teachers and childcare workers should be the bad guy's and disclipline your children. Who are you to say how easy their job is. I am a foster parent and I know what it's like to have to parent another persons child. Trust me, it's not easy to correct years of misguided behavior and you shouldn't be so hard on these very dedicated workers. They have to be dedicated to work in this field because heaven only knows it sure doesn't pay. If you think it's such an easy job then maybe you should try it or just do your job as a parent at home so they don't have to do it for you. I am by no means blaming any child for misdirection. After all, a child can't parent themselves. Adults are supposed to give them support and love them enough to provide rules and disclipline. Then and only then are we raising responsible children who will grow into responsible adults.
