I sympathize with Dr. Helene Gosselin's letter to the editor regarding the bigoted comments regarding homosexuals included in Matthew Dec's recent letter. I am question the editorial judgment of the Butler Eagle which, in its quest to provide a sampling of the opinions of Butler County citizens, ends up embarrassing the entire county. While those involved with efforts to attract more corporations to this area may ably execute their jobs, their work can be undone by a prospect simply picking up the newspaper, reading a letter like Mr. Dec's, and concluding (hopefully erroneously) that a move to Butler County is not a move into the 21st century, but a move into the Dark Ages.
