Creamer paired with Sorenstam in LPGA
RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. — Paula Creamer can think of only one time she felt out of place.
She was an 18-year-old amateur at the Kraft Nabisco Championship in 2004, and because the second round wasn't completed because of darkness, the third-round pairings were made Saturday morning. Creamer had only 15 minutes to get loose. Her threesome that day included Annika Sorenstam.
"I paid so much attention to them, I forgot what I was doing out on the golf course," Creamer said.
She is No. 2 in the world behind a familiar name — Sorenstam.
They will be paired today when the Kraft Nabisco Championship, the first LPGA Tour major of the year, gets under way on a Mission Hills Country Club course toughened by deep rough and firm, slick greens.
