Robert W. "Buck" Kennedy Jr., 73, of Evans City died Monday at Alleg-heny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born March 29, 1934, in Evans City, he was the son of Robert W. and Gertrude S. Dunbar Kennedy.

He retired in 1993 as the general foreman of the pit section at Armco-Butler Works.

Mr. Kennedy was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Evans City.

He was an avid trap shooter and belonged to the Evans City Sportsmen's Club. He also enjoyed NASCAR.

He is survived by a son, John W. Kennedy and his wife, Louann, of Evans City; two daughters, Jody Wack and her husband, William, of Quarryville, Lancaster County, and Marie Kennedy and her husband, Jeffrey Poth, of Drums, Luzerne County; a sister, Becky Riddle and her husband, Rick, of Harmony; and a brother, Richard Kennedy and his wife, Bettye of Knoxville, Tenn. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Jill Kennedy; a great-grandson, Parker Rettig; and three step-grandchildren, Sara Murin, Anthony Phillips and Stefanie Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Kennedy, and a grandson, James Kennedy.

<B>KENNEDY </B>— Friends of Robert W. "Buck" Kennedy Jr., who died Monday, April 16, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 116 E. Main St., Evans City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Saylor, his church pastor, officiating.
