[naviga:h3]I-79 restrictions continue at night[/naviga:h3]

Nighttime lane restrictions will continue next week on Interstate 79, in both directions, between Exits 78 and 88 as part of a project in Cranberry and Jackson townships.

The restrictions will be in place nightly between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., except on Monday, when the restrictions will begin later due to the holiday.

Work on shoulders, guide rails, paving markings and signs will be done.

Work on this project includes milling, patching, and paving of about 10 miles of I-79 and bridge work.

This $16.7 million interstate resurfacing project is being done by Lindy Paving and is expected to be completed by the end of October.

Motorists should expect congestion and delays in heavy traffic volume periods.

[naviga:h3]Treasurer’s office is closed on Monday[/naviga:h3]

The Butler City Treasurer’s office will be closed on Monday because of a death in the family of an office worker.

City Treasurer John Grenci issued this statement on Friday regarding the closure:

“Sorry for the inconvenience, but the treasurer’s office will be closed on Monday, Oct. 13, due to a death in the family.”

Grenci said the office will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday.

The closure will only affect the treasurer’s office.
