Jacqueline Farney
Jacqueline S. Farney, 77, of Cabot, formerly of Saxonburg, died Sunday at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center.
Born March 10, 1930, in New Bethlehem, she was the daughter of Harry and Catholene Geer Sayers.
She had worked at the Allegheny Valley Hospital and retired in 1991 after 30 years as a labor and delivery nurse.
She was a member of the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church and the Saxonburg Area Women's Club.
She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling and feeding the birds.
Surviving are two sons, Doug (Judy) Farney of Saxonburg and David Farney of Harrisburg; a brother, Joseph Sayers of Hawthorne; two grandsons, Bryan and Andrew Farney; and a granddaughter, Katelyn Farney. She is also survived by a stepsister and her husband, Doris and Ed Huffman of Distant, and a stepbrother, Ted (Eileen) Reid of Peachtree, Ga.
In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by her stepmother, Geraldine Sayers; and her husband, Paul W. Farney, who died Sept. 15, 2003.
<B>FARNEY </B>— Friends of Jacqueline S. Farney, who died Sunday, July 1, 2007, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, where services service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Brewer officiating. Burial will be at the Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, P.O.
