Eligible voters are reminded that the deadline to register for the May 18 primary election is two weeks away.

Acting Secretary of State Veronica Degraffenreid encourages residents to ensure they are registered by the May 3 deadline to nominate their party’s candidates for local government, school boards and judges positions.

Registered voters of all parties, not just Republicans and Democrats, can cast their votes on four referendum questions to be included on the ballot in the primary this year.

Forms to register to vote can be downloaded, completed and submitted to the county Bureau of Elections by the close of the business day May 3. Visit butlercountypa.gov/200/Voter-Applications.
