Mary C. Joy
Mary C. Joy, 93, of Butler died at 12:55 p.m. Friday at the Lowrie House in Butler.
Born June 2, 1914, in Natrona, she was the daughter of Jacob W. and Lila Harrison Carr.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Joy was also a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Armco Country Club, where she played and enjoyed golf and bridge. She was also active in other bridge groups.
Surviving are her son, James R. Joy of Jackson Center; five grandchildren, Steven Joy of Mercer, Maryann Tofani of Transfer, Connie Joy of Sharon, Brian Joy of Cranberry Township and Michael Joy of Slippery Rock; four great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Joy of Butler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Joy, who died May 22, 1994, and a son, Joseph Joy Jr.
<B>JOY — </B>Friends of Mary C. Joy, who died Friday, June 29, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>thompson-miller funeral home </B>in Butler. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. David Panther officiating.
