William D. Noblit II

William D. "Bill" Noblit II, 85, of Fombell died Monday at his home.

Born Oct. 21, 1921, in Clarion, he was the son of William D. and Hazel Hall Noblit.

Mr. Noblit retired in 1987 from Robinson Industries after 47 years.

He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the VFW Post 252 of Ellwood City and a life member of the American Legion Post 474, Zelienople.

He also was a licensed pilot.

Surviving are a son, W. Dell Noblit and his wife, Judi, of Marion, Ohio; a brother, James Noblit of Bradford; a grandson, Nathan Dell Noblit of Marion, and his companion, Audrey Jackson of Zelienople.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Heberling Noblit, who died July 11, 1969; and by two sisters, Mary Noblit Thompson and Jeanette Noblit.

<B>NOBLIT </B>— Friends of William D. "Bill" Noblit II, who died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation SERVICES, </B>219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Eric Rodes, pastor of the Grace Church of Harmony, officiating.
