Pittsburgh — A mortgage company in Zelienople is one of two winners of the 2010 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics sponsored by the Pittsburgh Better Business Bureau.

The Equity Lending Group of Zelienople and Beverly Services of Bethel Park are the two winners, according to a bureau news release.

Equity Lending was established in 1995 by Jim Clarke as a mortgage company originating residential and commercial mortgages in Pennsylvania and Florida.

“This award means so much to us, especially in light of the beating the mortgage industry has taken over the last few years. It is great to be recognized by our customers and others professionals we work with,” Clarke said in the news release.

The BBB established this annual awards program to recognize businesses that maintain a commitment to conducting their business practices in an ethical fashion.

Beverly Services is a heating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical contractor.
