Marian Hiack Clark, 80, of Holtwood, Lancaster County, died Sunday at her home.

Born in Trevorton, Northumberland County, May 14, 1927, she was a daughter of the Rev. Frank and Helena Pengelly Hiack.

A graduate of Butler High School, she worked in the business office of the Butler Eagle for 13 years and retired in 1980 from the office of Dr. John H. Forrey in Lancaster.

While living in Butler, she was active in music circles and served as organist and choir director. A deacon and elder of the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, she also sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and served as the clerk of session for years. She loved sacred and classical music.

Her husband, Roger T. Clark, died in 2003.

She is survived by her sons, Robert B. Clark of Holtwood and Thomas F. Clark and his wife, Daria, of Lancaster; a grandson, Josef Alexander; and her siblings, Dr. Paul S. Hiack and his wife, Jeanne, of Levittown, Martha Clem of Cranberry Township, and Ruth Carey of Johnstown, N.Y.

<B>CLARK</B> — A memorial service for Marian Hiack Clark, who died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Bethany Presbyterian Church, 25 N. West End Ave., Lancaster.
