Richard J. Crozier

Richard Joseph Crozier, 88, of Valencia died Thursday.

Mr. Crozier was a missionary to Alaska in the 1940s.

He has two baccalaureate and two master's degrees. He taught Hebrew at the Reformed Seminary in Pittsburgh and had been an Old Testament and Hebrew teacher, as well as a librarian at several Bible schools.

Surviving him are three brothers, David, Fred and Daniel Crozier; three daughters, Mrs. Laura McFarland, Mrs. Esther (Andy) Taravella and Mrs. Suzie (Darcy) Haisley; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell W. and Elsie Johnson Crozier; his wife, Myra Dorothy Crozier, whom he married July 1, 1944, in Kodiak, Alaska; an infant daughter; an infant grandchild; two sisters, Barbara Crozier and Doris Crozier Todd; and three brothers, Russell, Byron and Alton Crozier.

<B>CROZIER</B> — Services for Richard J. Crozier, who died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 23 at the Hillcrest Presbyterian Church, 5114 Perry Highway, Box 129, Volant, with the Rev. Irfon Hughes officiating.Memorial contributions in may be made to the Valencia Woods Nursing Center and St. Barnabas Charities.Arrangements are being handled by the <B>Auer Memorial Home & Cremation Services, </B>Harrisburg.
