Ella R. Johns Eshenbaugh, 76, of South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, died peacefully at 1 p.m. Thursday at her home.

Born July 18, 1931, at the family home in South Buffalo Township, she was a daughter of Lee and Sarah Jack Johns.

She was a member of the Srader Grove United Presbyterian Church in South Buffalo Township, where she had taught Sunday school for years.

Mrs. Eshenbaugh was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking, walking, cutting grass and working in her yard.

She is survived by four sons, Ronald R. and Daniel J. (Suzanne) Eshenbaugh, both of Winfield Township, Gary C. (Carla) Eshenbaugh of Jefferson Township and Glenn R. Eshenbaugh of South Buffalo Township; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth (Anthony) McCall of Natrona Heights and Leeberta Smith of Sarver, and a brother, George E. Johns of South Buffalo Township.

She was the widow of Russell Eshenbaugh, who died in 1994. She also was preceded in death by a son, Paul A. Eshenbaugh; two brothers, James and Lee Jr.; and a sister, Mae Jones.

<B>ESHENBAUGH </B>— At the family's request, there will be no visitation. A private family funeral service for Ella R. Johns Eshenbaugh, who died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, will be held Monday at the <B>Redmond Funeral Home</B>, Freeport.
