Louther Ferree "Steve" Stevens, 90, formerly of 1160 Dutilh Road, Mars, died Jan. 15 at Sunrise Senior Living of Cranberry.

He was the son of the late Clifford D. and Ethel Marie Stevens Sr., and the brother of the late Clifford D. Stevens Jr.

Mr. Stevens, a World War II Navy veteran, had worked at the Fairmont Creamery and the Follansbee Steel Corp., and retired from the John F. Casey Construction Co. in 1984.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman with lifetime hunting and fishing licenses. Having hunted for more than 70 years, he was a longtime member of the NRA and hopes that future Americans will not be deprived of the right to use guns for hunting.

He also was a longtime member of the Dutilh United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher and greeter.

He is survived by his wife of more than 66 years, Marjorie C. Stevens; a son, David L. Stevens of Tidioute; a daughter, Beverly S. Ivey of Mars; a niece, Ann Spangler of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.
