GROVE CITY — The American College of Health Care Administrators, ACHCA, honored Jean Dobay, administrator of Trinity Living Center in Grove City with the 2011 American College of Health Care Administrator’s Facility Leadership Award.

The leadership award was given during the awards banquet at ACHCA’s annual Convocation and Exposition in New Orleans. Three hundred ninety-two candidates received leadership awards nationally.

This annual award recognizes administrators of nursing homes who have met superior health care standards, patient care and life safety code standards and have an average occupancy above 90 percent, and the same administrator must have filled the role throughout the award year.

Concordia picks health coachJEFFERSON TWP — Ellen Cyphers of Wexford has been named health coach at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, announ-ced Keith Frndak, president and CEO.Cyphers earned a bachelor’s degree in clinical nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh in 1999 and is currently enrolled at Kansas State University in a master’s degree program focused on food science. She will work with many of Concordia’s employees to make healthy lifestyle changes through diet, exercise and smoking cessation.Cyphers comes with more than 12 years of experience in dietetics and disease management.
