Florence M. Hovis McCracken, 64, of New Castle died at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jameson Hospital North.

Born March 24, 1944, in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Wilber B. Hovis and the late Freda Simbold.

She married John W. McCracken Jan. 2, 1961, and he survives her.

She was a homemaker.

She also is survived by two sons, John W. McCracken Jr. and Raymond D. McCracken, both of New Castle; a brother Charles Hovis of Albion, Erie County; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Hovis.
