Blanche Kruh Abbatiello, 83, of Beech Road died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 23, 1924, in Bronx, N.Y., she was the daughter of Jack and Ada Levy Kruh.

Mrs. Abbatiello was a homemaker.

She was a member of Congregation B'nai Abraham, treasurer of the B'nai Abraham Sisterhood and a life member of Hadassah.

She was a longtime volunteer at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center in the library and in home-health services. She also was a volunteer at Butler Memorial in pastoral care and was a member of the hospital auxiliary. She belonged to a number of bridge clubs.

Surviving are her son, Douglas Ian Abbatiello of Sharon; two brothers, Louis Kruh of Merrick, N.Y., and Joel Kruh of Naples, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Abbatiello was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Alfonso Abbatiello, who died July 22, 1984.

<B>ABBATIELLO</B> — Graveside services and burial for Blanche Kruh Abbatiello, who died Saturday, June 29, 2008, will be at noon Tuesday at the Congregation B'nai Abraham Cemetery with Rabbi Walter Boninger, formerly of Congregation B'nai Abraham, officiating.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Butler Area Public Library, 218 N. McKean St., Butler, PA 16001 or to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Box 27106, New York, NY 10087-7106.Arrangements are being handled by the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, and information and a private guest book are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
