Spc. Daniel Jason Thomas, 26, of Prospect passed away Monday.

He was born July 16, 1981, in Butler. Daniel was the son of Daniel Paul and Kathleen Pajewski Thomas.

He was an Army veteran. He served in the 1/15th Infantry Regiment 3rd Infantry Division during Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

After fulfilling his duty to his country, he worked with his father, owner of Thomas Enterprises, a residential and commercial construction company.

He enjoyed hunting, archery, painting, quad riding and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed detailing golf carts and adding on accessories.

He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Kathleen of Prospect; two sisters, Jessica Lindsay Thomas, currently stationed with the Army in Germany, and Melissa Marie Thomas, currently living in Zelienople. He also is survived by his paternal grandmother, Helen Thomas of Cheswick; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Judy Pajewski of Prospect; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Wilbert Harry Thomas.

<B>THOMAS </B>— Family and friends of Spc. Daniel Jason Thomas, who died Monday, July 14, 2008, will be received from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday at <B>the Edward L. Raisley Funeral home</B>, 387 Main St., Prospect. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with the Craig DeBower, associate pastor of Victory Family Church, Cranberry Township, officiating.
