Nancy Leight Bishop
Nancy L. Bond Leight Bishop, 92, of Geneva, N.Y., formerly of Evans City, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026, at her residence.
Born in Beaver Falls on March 2, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Henry F.A. and Lula Hite Bond.
She had attended St. Paul’s U.C.C. Church, Connoquenessing.
Her family owned a Mail Boxes Etc., which is now a UPS Store.
Nancy loved gardening and watching birds, especially hummingbirds, but most of all, she loved family gatherings.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Thomas G. Bishop; one daughter, Debra (Allan) Welt, of Lyons, N.Y.; one son, Mark (Linda) Leight, of Phelps, N.Y.; one sister, Virginia Kaltenbach, of Evans City; one brother, William Bond, of Pittsford, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Samantha Richichi and Jonathon (Bekah) Leight; also nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry O. Leight; two sisters, Charlotte English and Naomi Lazuka; and one brother, Floyd Bond.
LEIGHT BISHOP — A graveside service for Nancy L. Bond Leight Bishop, who died Thursday, July 23, 2026, was held Thursday Aug. 20, at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.
Funeral arrangements were handled locally by A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, 328 W. Main St., Evans City.
