Mark Alan McConnell II, 22, of Edinburg died Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown, Ohio.

Born June 27, 1986, in Youngstown, he was the son of Mark A. McConnell and Vickie Brindiar McConnell.

He graduated from Mohawk High School in 2004, where he was a senior captain of his soccer team. He attended Clarion University.

Mr. McConnell worked part time for Control Transformer Inc. in Cortland, Ohio.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dirt bikes, golf and playing the games Halo and Rock Band.

He attended the Calvary Temple Worship Center.

Surviving are his parents of Edinburg; a sister, Rachael McConnell of Edinburg; his paternal grandmother, Marjorie McConnell of Edinburg; and his maternal grandmother and stepgrandfather, Shirley and Allen Boyer of Edinburg.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald McConnell; his maternal grandfather, Robert Brindiar; and an uncle, Paul McConnell.

<B>MCCONNELL </B>— Friends of Mark Alan McConnell II, who died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>R. Cunningham Funeral Home, and Crematory Inc.</B>, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Abel Robles of the Calvary Temple Worship Center officiating.
