Francis C. Uffleman, 83, of Saxonburg peacefully returned to the Lord Tuesday.

Born May 5, 1925, in Bakerstown, he was the son of Florence (Patton) Mahle.

He worked as a post master for the Postal Service in Bakerstown until he retired in 1987. He also served in the Army during World War II in Hawaii and Saipan.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Allison Park, where he had served as deacon and Sunday school teacher. He also belonged to American Legion Post 548, Bakerstown, and VFW Post 7505, Mars.

Surviving are his wife, Anna L. (Fulmer) Uffleman, who he married Jan. 10, 1951; two daughters, Mrs. Marshall (Susan) Reagan of Butler and Mrs. John (Lore) Bogan of Saxonburg; a half brother, Ira Mahle; and three grandchildren.

<B>UFFLEMAN</B> — A memorial service for Francis F. Uffleman, who died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church, 4765 S. Pioneer Road, Allison Park. Private burial will be in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.Arrangements are being handled by <B>FOX FUNERALHOME</B>, Saxonburg.
