David L. Householder, 80, of Butler died at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 12, 1928, in Zelienople, the son of Charles Michael Householder and Sarah Magdalena Mecklem Householder.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge 244 F&AM and the Scottish Rite of New Castle and Syria Temple.

He retired as plant manager of Daman Industries, East Brady, in April 1993, after 25 years.

Surviving are two sons, Barry Householder of Renfrew and David A. Householder of Alexandria, Va.

His wife, Betty J. Graham Householder, whom he married Sept. 19, 1947, passed away June 11, 1994. He also was preceded in death by his sister, Helen G. Davis.

<B>HOUSEHOLDER</B> — There will be no public visitation. Private services for David L. Householder, who died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, will be held with his pastor, the Rev. David Panther officiating.
