Allan Stuart "Alley" Frazer, 87, of Central Avenue, Chicora, passed away at 7:20 a.m. Friday at his home following a period of failing health.

He was born in Bradys Bend, Armstrong County, on Jan. 2, 1921, the son of David H. Frazer and Mabel Fink Frazer.

He was a Protestant and had attended the Kaylor School and then graduated from the East Brady High School Class of 1938.

He served stateside with the U.S. Naval Air Corp during World War II.

He enjoyed hunting, antique collecting, his collection of antiques, cooking, gardening and golf.

He was employed with the Local 47 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union for 42 years being involved in projects at most all of the local plants and refineries.

He married the former Phyllis K. Starrr on Oct. 3, 1945, in Akron, Ohio, and she survives along with two sons, Stuart A. Frazer and his wife, Brenda, of Butler and Todd S. Frazer of Butler; a daughter, Melissa D. Frazer of Butler; four grandchildren, Brooke, Brittany and Heather Frazer, all of Butler, and Stuart Frazer and his wife, Colby, of Kittanning; a great-granddaughter, Allyn Frazer of Kittanning; a sister, Mrs. Mary Marshall of Sarasota, Fla.; four nieces and a nephew; and his caregivers, Reba Bryan of Chicora, Cindy Liegenfus of Butler and Carol Fair of Butler.

Preceding him in death along with his parents were his twin brothers, Arthur and Arnold "Arnie" Frazer; a sister, Mrs. Esther Hays; and three brothers-in-law, Henry Hays, Howard Wolfgang and George Marshall.

<B>FRAZER</B> — Friends of Allan Stuart "Alley" Frazer, who died Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>RICHARD D. HILLUS FUNERALHOME</B>, Petrolia. Friends also will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chicora, with services following at 1 p.m. with the Rev. James A. Higgins, church pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Chicora.Memorial donations may be made to VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA; the Chicora Volunteer Fire Department, Chicora, PA 16025; or to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chicora, PA 16025.
