John F. Ferguson

Ferguson

John F. Ferguson, 67, of Washington, Pa, formerly of Butler, died at 7:55 a.m. Monday in the Forbes Hospice Center, Oakland, following a one-year illness.

He was born Nov. 30, 1940, in Connellsville, a son of the late John and Myrtle Ferguson.

Mr. Ferguson was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

He enjoyed playing guitar, fishing and spending time with his dog, Trouble. He also enjoyed sporting activities with his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Ferguson formerly worked as a union bridge painter and for Vogel Disposal; and for 37 years, he was a self-employed registered master plumber and heating and air conditioning contractor.

Surviving are his wife, Joanna Patricia Merrell Ferguson, who he married Aug. 8, 1970; seven children, John Ferguson Jr. of Butler, Sharon Rabold of Mars, Jennifer Ferguson of Houston, Pa., Jessica Ament of Washington, Judd Ferguson of Butler, Jackie Marshman of Washington and Janette Osche of Washington; and 15 grandchildren.

Deceased are an infant son, James Ferguson, and a brother, Buck Ohler.
