Edward A. Hilliard
Edward A. Hilliard, 68, of Butler died Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 14, 1940, in Butler, he was the son of the late Edward E. and Gertrude (Fohl) Hilliard.
He had worked for International Staple and Machine in Butler for 37 years until his retirement in 2002.
He was a member of the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler and VFW Post 249 in Butler.
He enjoyed woodworking and coin collecting.
Mr. Hilliard served in the U.S Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving are two sons, Raymond E. Hilliard and Joseph A. Hilliard, both of Butler; and two daughters, Jean (Joseph) Soloski and Rebecca L. Hilliard, all of Butler.
His wife, Nancy J. (Lutz) Hilliard, who he married Oct. 9, 1965, died April 25, 1992. He also was preceded in death by his sister, Mary G. Hilliard.
<B>Hilliard </B>— Friends of Edward A. Hilliard, who died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St. The Rev. Pierre Falkenhan, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the St. Peter Parish Cemetery.The Women's Council of St. Peter will meet at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday at the church to recite the rosary.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
