Myrtle A. Dittmer

Myrtle A. Dittmer, 91, of Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople, formerly of Butler, passed away Wednesday at Passavant.

Born in Butler, Jan. 2, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Louis B. and Lillian S. Gallagher Dittmer.

She was a former press operator at Saxonburg Ceramics.

A veteran of World War II, she served in the Women's Army Corps. Upon leaving the service, she was employed at Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

She was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

One brother and three sisters preceded her in death.

<B>DITTMER</B> — There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian burial for Myrtle A. Dittmer, who died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian with the Rev. Father James Murphy officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.Arrangements are being handled by <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, and information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
