Alice Elizabeth Turley Stoops, 72, of Adams Township died at 6 a.m. Sunday at UPMC Passavant, Ross Township, after an extended illness.

Born in Philadelphia, Feb. 27, 1936, she was the daughter of Herbert Turley and Harriet E. Burgess.

She married Charles C. Stoops Jr. on May 3, 1958.

She was a homemaker.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Ellen L. Wood of Columbia, Md.; and three sons, Charles C. Stoops of Luxembourg, Luxembourg, James W. Stoops of Baltimore, Md., and Robert V. Stoops of Gibsonia. Also surviving are five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bernard Turley, Clarence Turley and Charles Turley.
