Clarence E. Johnston

Clarence E. "Lightening" Johnston, 82, of Grove City, formerly of Hilliards, passed away at 11:05 p.m. Friday at Orchard Manor.

Born Nov. 3, 1926, in Ridgeville, he was the son of the late Andrew Floyd Johnston and Retta Mae Hilliard Johnston.

He was a member of the Ridgeville United Methodist Church.

He had been employed at several local farms and the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

He enjoyed country music and going on bus trips.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. William (Edna) Dillaman of Ridgeville, Mrs. Samuel (Vera) Weber of New Castle and Viola McCracken of Grove City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

<B>JOHNSTON</B> — Friends of Clarence E. "Lightening" Johnston, who died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, were received Sunday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, West Sunbury. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. Wade Berkey of the Ridgeville United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Rosewood Cemetery.
