BHS grad takes title; moves on to states
CRANBERRY TWP — Jenna Guadagni, 19, earned the title of Miss Butler County USA in a competition held Sunday at the Marriott Pittsburgh North at Cranberry Woods.
Guadagni, who was also named Miss Amity, was crowned by last year's winner Amber Lang.
Pageant contestants were judged for poise, personality and overall appearance in personal interview, swimsuit and evening gown categories.
The daughter of Joe and Jackie Guadagni of Butler, the new Miss Butler County USA is a 2004 graduate of Butler High School. She is currently employed as a waitress at the Texas Roadhouse in Center Township, and as a veterinary technician at Butler Veterinary Associates.
The first runner-up and the winner of Miss Photogenic was Holly Miranda, 17, of Butler. Erin Uhl, 20, of Karns City, was named second runner up. Sara Bono, 16, of Butler and Clara Watson, 17, of Cranberry Township were named third and fourth runners-up.
As the pageant winner, Guadagni will receive paid entry to the Miss Pennsylvania USA Pageant, a $500 shopping spree at Prime Outlets in Springfield Township, Mercer County, and a variety of other donated goods and services.
Master of ceremonies for the event was actor J. Eddie Peck, who has starred in daytime series "The Young and the Restless," "All My Children" and "Days of Our Lives." He has also appeared in prime time shows including "Dynasty," "Dallas," "Cheers" and various movies.
