Edward H. Bopp

Edward H. Bopp, 82, of Central Drive, Butler, died at 5:25 p.m. Monday at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Born Feb. 12, 1927, in Butler, he was the son of the late Leo Bopp and the late Helen Archer Bopp.

Mr. Bopp was a mechanic for the Chrysler Corp. Following that, he worked at Mickey and Bill's Garage on Holyoke Road until his retirement.

He was a member of the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church.

Mr. Bopp is survived by his wife, Sarah Maxine Varner Bopp, who he married Nov. 12, 1947; two daughters, Kathy Clark and her husband, Dennis, and Kim McAfee and her husband, Kevin, both of Butler; four grandchildren, Sarah McAfee, Emma McAfee, Aaron McAfee and Cody Clark.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

<B>BOPP</B> — Friends of Edward H. Bopp, who died Monday, March 23, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church with Father James Salberg of the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church officiating.
