Ralph M. Erb Sr., 89, of McDonald Street, Harrisville, died at 7:08 p.m. Monday at Orchard Manor, Grove City.

Born in Venango County, Oct. 11, 1919, he was the son of Charles Erb and Ada G. (Matthews) Erb.

He was a lifetime resident of Harrisville and a 1937 graduate of Harrisville High School.

Mr. Erb was a supervisor in the test department of the former Cooper-Energy Services, Grove City, where he was employed for 42 years.

He was a member of the Harmony Presbyterian Church in Harrisville and was an elder of the church.

He was a former member and past president of Harrisville Borough Council.

He married Frances J. (McCoy) Erb on Jan. 1, 1939. She died Oct. 14, 1992.

Surviving are one son, retired funeral director Ralph M. Erb Jr. of Harrisville; a niece; and three nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded ind death by a brother, Carl Erb.
