Hulda M. Schulz, 97, of Mars died Thursday at Valencia Woods Nursing Center.

Born Sept. 30, 1909, in Alleg-heny County, she was the daughter of Alexander and Margaret Roesch Morrison.

Mrs. Schulz graduated from Slippery Rock University and had both bachelor's and master's degrees in education and library science. She was a retired teacher and librarian for the Mars School District, where she worked for many years. She was the building head of the Adams Township School for years. She belonged to the Pennsylvania State Teachers Association.

She was also co-owner of A.F. Morrison Florist in Mars until it closed in 1972.

A member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mars, she was a Sunday school teacher. She was a charter member and first president of the Mars AARP and was assistant state district director.

She also belonged to the Mars Women's Club and the Mars Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a son, William A. Schulz and his wife, Karen, of Mars; three grandchildren, Robin Renfrew, and Diane and Scott Schulz; and a great-grandson, Ethan Renfrew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Paul Schulz; and a brother, Andrew Morrison.

Schulz, who died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Services will follow at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.Burial will be in Mars Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, Beaver Street, Mars, PA 16046; or to the Mars Public Library, P.O.
