Patsy Cline show opens Friday at Calvin church in Zelienople
ZELIENOPLE — Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 E. Grandview Ave., will stage "Always ... Patsy Cline" at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday. The show will also go on at 7:30 p.m. April 10, 11 and 12.
The Calvin production features Toni Schlemmer as Patsy and Karen Cramer as Louise. The show focuses on the two women, one a rising star and the other a devoted fan, who meet by chance at a Houston honky-tonk in 1961.
They will be joined by Bruce Smith, leading the Bodacious Bobcat Band. Adding to the fun will be Scott Brown, Sam Cummins, David Shidemantle and Tom Surgalski singing backup as the "The Calvinaires." Special guests include "The Maybelles," namely Marsha Demeter, Sharon Taylor-Shanks, Beth Wilson and Patti Godsen opening the show.
