Dengler

Mary R. (Motta) Dengler, 80, of Mars died Wednesday.

Born July 6, 1929, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Mariano and Maria (Valore) Motta.

She was the beloved wife of the late Otto G. Dengler, who died Dec. 18, 1987. She also was preceded in death by seven siblings: Constance Motta Wolfrum, George Motta, Helen Motta Scalio, Rose Motta Grant, Frank Motta, Marion Motta and John Motta.

She was the loving mother of Robert O. Dengler and his wife, Marilyn K. Smith, of Ingomar, Donna M. Dengler and her husband, Daniel H. Else III, of Virginia, and Patricia A. Hastings and her husband, Andreas Olligschlaeger, of Economy; and the sister of Peter Motta and his wife, Catherine, of California. Also surviving are three dear grandchildren, Nikki Lewis Warren and her husband, Theodore, of Virginia, Craig S. Lewis of Virginia and Matthew R. Dengler and his wife, Gena, of Saxonburg.

Mary was a longtime and active member of Holy Sepulcher Church in Glade Mills and recently was a parishioner at St. Kilian Church in Mars.

She was very active throughout the community, and she loved spending time bowling and dancing.

<B>DEGLER </B>— The family of Mary R. (Motta) Dengler, who died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, will welcome friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Sepulcher Church.
