Robert R. Kretzler, 64, of Evans City died Tuesday at UPMC Passavant hospital, McCandless Township.

Born Aug. 15, 1945, in Evans City, he was the son of the late Lawrence F. and Ruth (McCommon) Kretzler Sr.

Mr. Kretzler was Protestant, and he enjoyed fishing, poker and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Leona Ruth Kretzler, who he married Sept. 11, 1964; three sons, Lawrence Kretzler and his wife, Cynthia, of Gibsonia, Shawn Rush and his wife, Elaine, of Evans City, and William Harper and his wife, Debra, of Prospect; a daughter, Amy Wheeler and her husband, Joseph, of Evans City and five grandchildren, Robert, Larry, Travis, Gavin and Julia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Lawrence, Donald, Fred and William Kretzler; and a sister, Clara Beadnell.
