Genevieve Hill Maihle, 87, of Valencia died Sunday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born in Valencia, July 13, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Marian Magee Hill.

Mrs. Maihle was a graduate of Indiana (Pa.) University with a bachelor of science degree in education and later continued her education at Penn State University.

She was a home economics teacher for the Ambridge and Mars school districts.

She was a member of the Valencia Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her husband, H. Lynn Maihle, who she married Sept. 16, 1947; three sons, Bruce L. Maihle of Valencia, David K. Maihle (Christine) of Bangor, Pa., and Jay A. Maihle (Tammy) of Valencia; and a granddaughter, Emma Maihle.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Hill, and a brother, Dale C. Hill.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Weston, pastor of the Valencia Presbyterian Church, officiating.
