Shirley Parks
Shirley Parks, 84, of Butler, formerly of West Virginia, passed away at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a brief- illness.
She was born July 4, 1925, in Wheeling, W.Va. She was the daughter of the late Brenton Parks and Elizabeth Shawness Parks.
She was a homemaker and dedicated herself to caring for her extended family.
She was a member of the Society of Animal Protection.
She is survived by her niece, Mary Shook and her husband, Dale, of West Sunbury; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, two great-great-great-nieces and one great-great-great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
<B>PARKS</B> — Friends of Shirley Parks, who died Thursday, March 4, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
