Surrounded by loving family and friends, former Butler resident Calvin Siegle passed away Friday at the age of 94 in his home in Newport Beach, Calif.

Cal began his career as a junior executive with the legendary Cincinnati sporting goods firm of MacGregor-Goldsmith during the depth of the Great Depression and retired from MacGregor as a top executive after 51 years of exemplary service.

Ever a selfless patriot, he twice left this prospering career to defend the nation as an Air Force officer in World War II and in the Korean War.

Cal was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anne; and is survived by his son, Greg; a daughter Candace; and a legion of cherished friends.
