Steigerwald

Paul Joseph Steigerwald, 88, of Cranberry Township died Wednesday at St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars.

Born Nov. 10, 1921, in Wexford, he was the son of Joseph and Hilda (Rudolph) Steigerwald.

Mr. Steigerwald was a former farmer, working in the family orchards and enjoyed gardening and playing the organ.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by a son, Paul Joseph Steigerwald Jr. of Butler; a daughter, Paula Jo Steigerwald; a stepdaughter, Oretha (Joseph) Rodgers of Jackson Center; a stepson, Randy McMillen of Harmony; a brother, Robert Steigerwald; two sisters, Patricia Brunner and May Wiskerman; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois McMillen Steigerwald, who died July 25, 2010.
